Highly Anticipated Clash Ends in 1-1 Draw

Mbappe Breaks Nose but Returns to Score, Lewandowski Rescues Poland

Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski showcased their goalscoring prowess in a thrilling 1-1 draw between France and Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

Mbappe, who broke his nose in a clash with Marseille's defender Alvaro Gonzalez last week, made a sensational return to the pitch wearing a protective mask. In the 54th minute, he coolly converted a penalty to put France ahead.

However, Poland refused to be disheartened. Lewandowski, the Bayern Munich striker, equalized from the spot in the 79th minute after a handball by Jules Kounde. It was Lewandowski's 67th international goal, moving him one behind Ferenc Puskas on the all-time European scoring charts.

The result means that France, who needed a victory to secure the top spot in Group D, must now settle for runners-up. Poland finishes third, while Croatia clinched the group title.
