Lauren Boebert Wins GOP Primary in Colorado's 4th Congressional District
Boebert, a staunch supporter of former President Trump, defeated five other candidates in Tuesday's primary
She will now face Democrat Adam Frisch in the November general election
Lauren Boebert, a Republican firebrand and staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, won the GOP primary in Colorado's 4th Congressional District on Tuesday night. Boebert, who currently represents the state's 3rd Congressional District, decided to switch districts after redistricting made her current seat more competitive for Democrats.
Boebert's victory in the six-way primary was decisive. She received over 34% of the vote, more than doubling the vote total of her nearest challenger, state Sen. Don Coram. Boebert's win is a major boost to her reelection chances, as the 4th Congressional District leans heavily Republican.
In the November general election, Boebert will face Democrat Adam Frisch, a businessman and former Aspen City Councilman. Frisch won the Democratic primary in a landslide, receiving nearly 70% of the vote.
